Shadeward started with a familiar scene: standing in a parking lot with a tape measure, trying to figure out if yet another "universal fit" sunshade would actually cover the windshield. It didn't. They rarely do.

Every sunshade brand asks you to measure your own windshield and hope. We thought that was backwards — the seller should know what fits your car, not you. So we built a fitment database covering 1,200+ vehicle models. Enter your make, model, and year, and we match the size. No tape measure, no guessing, no returns roulette.

That's the whole idea behind Shadeward: sun protection you'll actually use, because every bit of friction has been designed out of it.

Umbrella-style shades were the right idea with one bad part: the long rigid handle. On some dashboards it doesn't fit at all. On the rest, it presses against the dash or the center screen and scratches what it touches.

So our design deletes it. A soft pull ring folds the canopy instead — one pull and it collapses into a sleeve the size of a door pocket. Nothing sticking out, nothing hard near your screen, nothing to wrestle with when you're already late.

Simple enough to use at every stop. That's the test everything we make has to pass.
