How to measure: 1) Run a tape measure across the inside of your windshield, between the pillars, at the widest point. 2) Match it to the size chart. 3) Between sizes? The handle-free design
Umbrella shades fail inside cars for one reason: the long rigid handle. On some vehicles it won't fit between the windshield and dash at all; on the rest it grinds against the screen. Shadeward deletes it — a soft pull ring folds the canopy instead, so it installs on dashboards handle-style umbrellas can't.
The canopy
Four working layers: a waterproof outer shell, a heat-reflective layer, an insulating middle, and a tight-woven Oxford backing facing your cabin. It helps keep direct sun off the surfaces you touch first — wheel, seats, dash.
Comes with a waterproof fabric storage bag — stores clean, doesn't rattle, stays flexible in winter.
We Removed the Handle
A normal umbrella shade ends in a long, rigid handle — and inside a car, the handle is the problem. On some dashboards it doesn't even fit. On the rest, it presses against the dash or the center screen and scratches what it touches. So we removed it. Shadeward folds by a soft pull ring instead: grab the ring, pull, done. Nothing sticking out to collide with your dash — nothing hard to gouge your screen.

What about my SUV or truck?

Large is built for full-size windshields. Measure first — some oversized glass (and some unusually raked windshields) may still show edge gaps, and we'd rather tell you that now.
Does it work around the rear-view mirror?

Yes — the canopy sits around the mirror mount without changing your mirror's angle, and the visors lock the top edge on either side of it.
Will it touch my dashboard or screen?

There's no handle to touch it. Shadeward folds by a soft pull ring instead of a long rigid handle — so nothing hard points at your dash or center screen, and it fits cars where handle-style umbrella shades physically can't.
I have a dashcam / toll tag.

The canopy covers the glass area where most dashcams and toll tags mount. If yours must stay exposed while parked, check its position against the canopy footprint before ordering — or ask us with your setup.
Is it actually faster than my old folding shade?
